12 weeks free membership for either Slimming World or Weight Watchers – for anyone who has never tried to lose weight or has previously had good experience with this and is specifically asking for vouchers.
Exclusion: if they have self-funded SW/WW in the past 3 months or have already received vouchers in the last 12 months.
Men’s only weight loss programme. This programme has been set up with a male audience in mind. The focus is on working as a team to win games. Participants are accredited points for combined weight loss before they even hit the pitch. This has been hugely successful in other areas achieving 95% weight loss and is endorsed by the FA.
12 week enhanced service over 6 months, using a behavioral dietetic approach to weight loss. The sessions last 1.5 hours and include 1 hour information and advice giving in a group format followed by 30 minutes of physical activity which will be delivered by a physical activity instructor trained up to Level 3 GP referral. For anyone who has repeatedly dieted and keeps regaining weight.

Oxfordshire residents
Motivated to lose weight and ready to make lifestyle changes
Those with BMI>30 (>27.5 Asian or with Co-morbidities, BMI >23 Asian with comorbidities.)
Those over 16 years of age
For Achieve programme only: Patients are expected to have attempted to lose weight at least once using a recognised weight loss programme.
Patients who have accessed this or the previous service in the last 12 months.
Patients who have repeatedly been referred for weight loss interventions (i.e twice in the past 4 years), unless counsel's prior approval has been obtained.
Currently pregnant.
Had bariatric surgery in past 12 months (NB: can be referred to Bariatric Service if experiencing problems or met NICE criteria at time of surgery).
Complex diabetes (on Insulin, sulfonylureas (for example gliclazide, gilbenclamide), SGLT2 inhibitors (for example ampagliflozin, dapagliflozin, canaglifozin) or glinides (for example neteglinide, repaglinide)
Ketosis prone Type 2 Diabetes.
Diabetes post pancreatectomy.
Active substance misuse (including Alcohol)
Active Bulimia.
Severe or untreated depression or anxiety.
Active Psychosis.
Diagnosed personality Disorder.
Dementia.
