A Healthy Family is a Happy Family

At Achieve Oxfordshire we believe that a healthy family lifestyle starts in the home. Everyone in the family needs to get involved for positive changes to have a real impact on a family’s health and wellbeing.  

 

Our clients often express how difficult they find this. It seems like a challenge to get the whole family more active. While there is lots of advice about healthy eating out there, there are so many conflicting opinions it gets confusing. Most of all, eating a healthy diet is more expensive.

 

So we set out to do something to help. This campaign is all about making your family’s healthy lifestyle attainable, enjoyable and affordable. We are providing families across Oxfordshire with evidence-based advice, fun and interactive workshops, and free healthy lifestyle resources. With these, we hope to help you to take steps towards achieving a healthier, happier lifestyle.

WHAT IS OUR HEALTHY FAMILY CAMPAIGN ABOUT?  

 

This campaign is based around providing family-friendly advice and evidence-based resources. Primarily, we’re seeking to demonstrate how a healthy lifestyle can be affordable and enjoyable for the whole family.

 HOW ARE ACHIEVE OXFORDSHIRE HELPING FAMILIES GET HEALTHY THIS SUMMER? 

 

As well as continuing to provide free access to evidence-based weight management programmes, we are visiting schools across Oxfordshire to deliver workshops on family nutrition and physical activity. We will also be providing online resources for everyone to use.

We’ve designed these resources to help your family take easy steps towards a healthy lifestyle. Resources that will be released throughout the campaign include:  

  • Healthy recipes  
  • A 7-day meal plan 
  • Food diaries 
  • Guides to getting 5-a-day and healthy lunchboxes
  • Activity trackers and reward charts

HOW CAN YOU GET INVOLVED?  

 

First of all, keep an eye out on our social media channels for tips on how to use these resources! We will be releasing lots of videos, interesting blog posts and other helpful tips in the days to come.
